First Post & Late Friday Flaunt

Welcome!!!

This is the most sewing I have done in the longest time. I made this fabric bag filled with Christmas chocolates as a gift for Sophia's teacher. You can laugh at the next bit. I had to actually go to the sewing shop to ask how to bring my embroideries into my machine before I could even start.. It has been a long time hey!

This is one side.

And this is the other side.

Started and finished on Friday. Pictures taken just as I finished stitching and filling and out the door to school.

Ah, it is good to be sewing again!

  10. HI Wanda, I do love your bag. It will be great for many uses, for the lucky recipient. Did you make up your own pattern or did you use a commercial pattern? Not being a brilliant bagmaker myself, I am always interested in the bags that other people make.

  11. Bern, I went to Julie's site

    http://juliesquiltgallery.blogspot.com/

clicked on the DIY Bag Lover widget thing

    http://diybaglover.blogspot.com/.

The pattern I used is towards the bottom and called Fabric Basket @ pink penguin.

All I did was calculate what size the patched top section would be as a single piece so I could embroidery on.

    It went together very easily.
