Happy New Years to All & FF

Well I just wanted to wish everyone a
Very Happy New Year
and may this coming
2010
be a good one for you all!!!

This weeks FF finds me sharing a week later than intended, but that is Christmas for ya. At least in this household anyways.

This is Miss Chitter Chatter in the apron I made her in the lead up to Christmas, the intention was to make myself a matching one too, mine is not done yet, but I am oh so happy with the way her's turned out.

These pics were taken just before we made some Reindeer Poo!!!
(Ginger and Macadamia Balls) for Christmas.

New Addition and Thanks

Thanks to Sheila, with so much help, I have been able to do a few things with my blog. Would have taken way longer for me to get this worked out and done, this time of year, without her help. Thank you so much Sheila! Under her instructions I was able to put the FF link pic thing on too,  as well as the banner...

And the new addition is what, you may ask. Well it is the cat! We picked her up yesterday and have decided to call her Misty. She is a ragdoll and will be registered under the name of Adora Rose. Google tells us that Adora is Latin for Beloved. She has just fitted in so well and is very funny.

Miss Chitter Chatter (MCC) is very good at keeping Misty entertained for hours or is Misty keeping MCC entertained... Tee Hee either way it is working out very well...

This is her at the top of the tower thing, MCC constructed under my direction.
Can we build it, yes we can!

Was a little shocked when MCC said it would be up to Dad the builder to make this thing! I was like NO us girls CAN do it and I used the "Can we build it, Yes we Can" tune to inspire her. She did a marvelous job too with very little help from me.

And So This Is Christmas

Well it is still Friday and I finally have got something else to flaunt never mind I have aimed for another flaunt every Friday since the first. Very disastrous that has been! Tee Hee. My achievement this week was to sew a new Christmas dress for Princess Chitter Chatter (3rd child) she is very girly and was a hit with the other little girls in line waiting to get their pictures taken yesterday (they were bedazzled with her glitterness).

The 3 kids on their way for Santa pic.

The entrance to our house.

These are the few Christmas decorations that I have made over the years. Each year when I bring them out I am again amazed that I did actually make these things myself. My sister made the framed stitchery that hangs on my wall all year round. Isn't it way cool too!

I have very many more christmas patterns sitting on the shelf waiting to be made up into Santas or wall hangings. Maybe this coming year will be the year to make up a couple more to add to my collecetion for next Christmas.

These last pictures are of the decorations that transform our house each festive season. I usually add at least one decoration to our collection each year. This year I aquired 2 the santa on a rocking horse, I was very pleased to spy this fellow and bring him home, and then there was the Santa that plays the sax with the sunnies, with a very cheery tune to fill the house.

Until next time.
Very Merry Christmas to ALL!!!

First Post & Late Friday Flaunt

Welcome!!!

This is the most sewing I have done in the longest time. I made this fabric bag filled with Christmas chocolates as a gift for Sophia's teacher. You can laugh at the next bit. I had to actually go to the sewing shop to ask how to bring my embroideries into my machine before I could even start.. It has been a long time hey!

This is one side.

And this is the other side.

Started and finished on Friday. Pictures taken just as I finished stitching and filling and out the door to school.

Ah, it is good to be sewing again!
