Patch or PATCH!

Well what does a mum do when she is presented with a torn, beloved, pair of pj pants by youngest son, My Crash Test Dummy?
He presents them to me to be fixed, I say yes, I will look at them tomorrow. Then tomorrow comes and he hands said pants to me.
Ha, Ha what is this?
Oh yes of course I am to fix these aren't I!
Tee, Hee well this could very well be a very short 5 min job couldn't it?
Oh but No it isn't, It could be, but Not today.
All the kids had an invite to a birthday party and DH was the one to take them, leaving me at home with some peace and  quiet and lots of time.
So what do I do for this hole?

Well I spend about half of the day on my computer fussing around with my software taking this, adding that, working through a tutorial to get the idea I was thinking of to work and Oh what fun I had!
A bit of this a bit of that and Voila!

One happy chappy and one contented mummy having had the chance to fuss with her stuff!

We Have The Pair.

Well I got there.
Ya!
Flaunting on a Friday. A bit each day has gotten me to the line.
It was fun too.
Me and Miss Chitter Chatter now have our matching aprons.

And now the pair of us.

I will definitely make more aprons in the future out of these books.

The Great Sticky Velcro Debacle

Now where do I begin?
I know 3 days, 4 different machines, all sorts of settings,
needles and advise from around the world.
What was I trying to do?
Sew sticky backed velcro to leaders for my quilting frame, a la, as per this Sharon Schambers You Tube clip.

The part I was getting STUCK ON is about 3 to 4 minutes in. Doesn't she make it look so easy. I had 1040 inches of stitching to sew on this velcro and I couldn't get past 4 inches before getting stuck! This velcro cost a pretty penny at the time and I didn't want to see it wasted, so I tried to have a win.

Now I was working on this 12 months ago when I had the phone call to say that MIL and partner had been swept down a flooded river in their car. (They survived the adventure) This project was then put away and not looked at again. Of course that means the frame has not been used either. I didn't realize until a couple of days ago that the day I decided to pick this up and get it done was the same day, to the date, that we got the call about the accident. I found that a bit spinney when I realized. How could it be?
Anyway in the end I seceded.

I don't know if it was the most horrendous case of unrelenting hay fever I had this last day or just plain old common sense that prevailed. But I new when I had been whipped and took a new course. My new plan was to just stick this stuff on, get as much use out of it as I can, before it lifts off, and just replace it with the normal stuff as need be, if I even like this way of doing things.
So the decision being made, this was a sight for sore eyes.
My leaders are now on the frame waiting for me to pluck up the courage to use them. Tee Hee!

Now U see Her Now U Don't

How could one hair cut make such a difference?

Our little dog Mia has never had a proper trim. Just my klutziness around her face with the scissors.

She was 5 months old and looked like this.

I will say she was bathed and cleaned up nearly every week up until this point.
Isn't she cute!
THEN...
WHAT HAPPENED?
Oh my golly gosh now she looks like this.
Where did my dog go!

If I had not been there the whole time I would have thought they switched dogs.
